Privacy Policy

Account information

When you create a Knotify account, we collect your name, email address, and password (handled securely via Firebase Authentication — we never see or store your raw password).

Invitation content

Information you add while building an invitation or save-the-date, such as couple names, wedding date, venue details, event descriptions, and any photos you upload. Photos are stored with our image hosting provider, Cloudinary.

Guest list information

Information you enter about your guests to manage your wedding, including names, phone numbers, email addresses, dietary preferences, kids'-menu needs, accommodation (room) needs, and transport needs. This information is provided by you, the couple — Knotify does not independently collect it.

Guest RSVP responses

When a guest opens their personalized invitation link and responds, we collect their RSVP status and any answers to custom questions the couple has set up. This data is shared with the couple who created the invitation.

• To create and operate your Knotify account.
• To generate, store, and display your invitations, save-the-dates, and guest lists.
• To deliver personalized guest links and record RSVP responses in real time.
• To compute aggregate statistics (like headcounts and dietary breakdowns) for your dashboard.
• To maintain the security, reliability, and integrity of the service.

We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell personal information to third parties.

Guest list details and RSVP responses are visible to the couple who owns the invitation. Guests only see the invitation content shared with them through their personalized link — not the full guest list or other guests' responses.

We share information with the service providers that power Knotify, strictly to operate the app:

• Google Firebase — authentication and database hosting (Firestore).
• Cloudinary — photo storage and delivery.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Knotify, our users, or others.

Your data is stored on Firebase's cloud infrastructure and protected by access-controlled security rules, so that only an invitation's owner can read or edit its guest list and details. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

We retain your account and invitation data for as long as your account is active. If you delete an invitation, its associated guest list and RSVP data are deleted along with it. If you delete your account, we delete your associated data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it for legal reasons.

You can access, correct, or delete the invitation and guest information you've entered directly within the app at any time. If you'd like help exporting or permanently deleting your account data, contact us at products.qubixcode@gmail.com. Guests who want their RSVP information removed can also reach out to us, or ask the couple who invited them to delete their entry.

Knotify is intended for adults planning a wedding and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Our service providers may process and store data on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. By using Knotify, you consent to this transfer and processing.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Knotify evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
